Scultographs: Andrea Rosen Gallery

Yesterday I decided to check out the Scultographs show at the Andrea Rosen Galery. The artist duo, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, mainly known for their Fashion Photography, was a collaboration with Eugeene Van Lamsweerde. The show was ending pretty soon, so I wanted to make over since I am a huge huge fan of Inez and Vinoodh's photography work. I was somewhat disapointed. I truly believe that art is in the eye of the beholder, so I am only speaking of my own opinion. It was recyled images from their past editorial work turned into sculptures. Which I was completely aware of before going in. It was just that the actual sculpture were so lackluster. I'm assuming Eugeene handled that end of the project. Luckily there are a bunch of other galleries in the area I got to check out. Below are a few images from the show.
I must post a few images of the AMAZING photoshoot from the May issue on Vogue Nippon with Raquel Zimmermann, photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadinjust out of pure appreaciation of their talent:

the Gap: Menswear Fall 2010 preview

It could be the fashion stylist they hired to coordinates the outfits together, but I'm really feeling these looks for Gap Menswear upcoming Fall 2010 collection.

US Elle: Hilary Rhoda by Michelangelo di Battista

For some time now, I have been utterly obsessed with model Hilary Rhoda. This Editorial from the May 2010 issue of US ELLE, completely knocked my socks off. And I really like the whole Sports journalist storyline they did. She currently is one of the stars of the Estee Lauder campaign, which she has been doing for a few years now. She also happens to be from Chevy Chase, Maryland. Which is right around the corner from where I grew up. With all the exotic models in fashion, her look is just nice healthy all-american face. Refreshing, right?!
