Ferosh Alert: Eau Mega by Viktor & Rolf

This has to be, without a doubt, the most ferocious thing I've seen all week.
I consider myself a bit obsessed with fragrances. The campaigns, the bottles, the regional releases and all that sort of stuff. Viktor and Rolf designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren are launching a new fragrance called Eau Mega. And they never let me down. This is a follow-up to their widely successful fragrance Flowerbomb. The ad campaign Photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin features the Eau Mega bottle and supermodel Raquel Zimmermann, against the skyline of New York City. Absolutely Ferosh!

Eau Mega eau de parfum spray will retail for $75, $100, and $149 for the 75-ml edition.

*Ethnic Male Models @ Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy

Riccardo Tisci's runway show for the Spring 2010 Givenchy menswear collection was great for a number of reasons. The clothes had an edgy simplicity to them. With a somewhat punk aesthetic, consisting of just red, black and white colored fabrics. But one of the biggest highlights was the use ethnic models. Its been such a long time, especially in European collection, that a designer has used so many ethnic models in one show...without it seeming like a gimmick.

Spring 2010: Marni

Another favorite from the Spring 2010 Men's collections in Europe was Marni. Even though I love fashion and follow it hardcore, there not to many things I could realistically see myself actually wearing on a daily basis walking down the street, regardless if I had the money to purchase or not. This Marni collection is one I could definitely see myself in. I really love the choices of 1960’s surfer colors, and the slim cut of the trousers, though they aren’t to tight. I also was really feelin’ how the collection was styled, with how the trousers were being rolled up, to the bags that were added. Definitely one of my top picks for Spring 2010. www.Marni.com

Spring 2010: Trussardi 1911

Another collection I enjoyed, from the Spring 2010 men's shows in Europe, was Trussardi 1911. Most of the collection consisted of Red White and Blue. But some of the stand out pieces for me were denim and khaki looks. There was something very all American about it.

R.I.P. VIBE folds 1993-2009

I read the VIBE magazine will close immediately. The magazine was thee main go-to Urban Music Resource during the 1990's.... and slowly dragged down through the new Millennium. VIBE magazine leaves a very special place in my heart, because I interned there after college in the Fashion department for awhile. I worked under Fashion Director Memsor Kamarake, and the experiences were incredible. And I take what I learn with me today. The August 2009 issue with Dream and Christina Milian on the cover will be its last. The cover makes me sad, for a number of reason. It just goes to show you how desperate things got towards the end.
