Ciara coutured up on the Red Carpet

Singer, actress, and current muse of Ricardo Tisci (Givenchy's current creative Director), Ciara wore Givenchy, to not only the Grammy awards, but also the Pre-grammy party thrown by Clive Davis, the night before. Both looks were fresh from the spring couture collections, that Ciara attended the week prior.

How do you say "Ferosh" in Espanol?

Jennifer Lopez can do no Wrong in my eye. She is proably the flyest beyotch doing it right now. Here we have photos from the launch of longtime makeup artist, Scott Barne's new book "About Face". Here she wears a Louis Vuitton dress and Louboutin shoes. Jennifer Lopez hosted the event, as well as appears on the cover of the book (and wrote the foreword). Wurk mama!!.....and just because: the cover of Jennifer Lopez's new single Louboutins. Her new album: Love? is due in April, as well as her new upboming film: the Backup Plan. Talk about a comeback!

Amerie: Push It Back

Def Jam recording artist Amerie, is getting set to release her fourth album "In Love & War". It was recently pushed back from its original release date of September 29th, to now November 3rd, after the first single "Why R U" didn't do so well. Her new single "Heard 'Em All" was produced by Sean Garrett and Eric Hudson. And I must say, I am loving this song. Its got a tribal, hypnotic thing going on. But Amerie Must make the video CRAZY, for it to pop off properly. This is the offical cover for the single:

I love Amerie! And I'm really excited for her upcoming album "In Love & War", which is due September 8th on Def Jam Records. The albums lead single Why R U was just released to radio last week, and the official music video premiered on June 8th. I'm really loving the single and the video alot.

Mya, so sugary and spicy!

I have to say, I love Mya. She's one of the very few artist, I actually keep a look out for. Always rooting for her. Her last album, Liberation, was never released from Motown records. I believe it was only release digitally in Japan. But she's keepin it moving. Come December 3rd, she's releasing a new album in Japan called Sugar and Spice on Manhattan Records. Finally caught some brand new promotional images, including her album cover, and they are super fly. Hopefully more to come very soon. Her first single is called Paradise. Though I'm not feeling the song, I understand shes gearing it to a Japanese audience. Having travelled around Asia myself, I totally get it. I wish her the much success!

TommyBoy

Tommy Hilfiger Spring 09
I can remember being a kid, and my mom buying me Tommy Hilfiger clothes for Christmas. and then the next day returning them back to the department store. My mom baffled, then asks me her famous question, that I've heard so many times in my lifetime, " isn't that what the kids are wearing?" Tommy has never been my cup of tea. PETA's slogan is "I'd rather go naked then wear fur, well I had rathered go naked than wear Tommy Hilfiger.....back then. Early in his career He had the audacity to put himself on the same level as Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.

No!
How do you have a full collection, runway presentation and all, with nothing but jeans, and hoodies, and t-shirt, with your name all over it, and call yourself a designer. Well it was only a matter of time, until things statred going down hill. A few years ago TH took some time away from presenting his collection, and then reemerged about 2 years ago. And I have to say. Every season since then, its been getting better and better. Last season, Fall08, was probaly one of my favorite shows of that season. This season for Spring09, things were a bit toned down. The women's collection, could have used a bit my bang, but none-the-less, it was well put together.

Its all about taking a moment, taking a step back, chill a bit, focus, planning, then reemerge harcore, and Execute. With the slogan "how you like me now" spray painted across your chest. We all can take a lesson, from time to time.
